Hello and Welcome to Painting Adventures
Below you will find a menu of Galleries and features of Painting Adventures. They are the Mural Gallery, Exhibits Gallery, Italian Gallery and the Train Gallery. The menu also includes Large Movable Paintings and Art for Rent. Further down you will find more information about Painting Adventures.
Locations for my paintings include private homes, businesses, museums and professional offices. Murals can be a wonderful enhancement to an urban landscape. Indoors and outdoors, the effect can be to create a sense of expanded space.

Painting Discovered
Finding my way into mural painting came as a result of a book called Drawing On The Right Hand Side Of The Brain. My internal process is to paint on the right hand side of the brain. One draws or paints what is being looked at, not what the brain interprets. My preference is a realistic style. Punch here for a brief biography.
Favorites
I am particularly fond of architecture, foliage, landscape, animals and Italian themes. The first mural I ever painted was in the small town of Avola, Sicily. After that first cartoonish effort, I traveled to stay with friends in central Italy, not far from Perugia. While in that hilly agricultural region, I made numerous paintings on the walls of friends' homes. One summer, I bicycled in Corsica to the gorgeous west coast and found more walls to enhance. It was one of the most wonderful summers of my life.
During the Summer of 1999, I returned again to Italy and painted in several beautiful places including Praiano a Mare on the Amalfi Coast and Cala Gonone, on the east coast of Sardegna. Also, I returned to Avola, Sicily and painted a new mural just a few doors up the street from where I had painted my first mural ever, fifteen years earlier.
Acrylics Used
The paint I use is artist quality acrylic. It is water based and essentially without odor, very colorful and durable indoors or out. Project designs can be yours, mine or a collaboration.
Art For Rent is something new for Painting Adventures. I am developing an inventory of framed paintings for rent. Topics so far include Canyons and Deserts, Scenes From Italy, Adventures and Landscapes of Oregon. The paintings are 33" x 46" including frame.
Large Movable Paintings is another option from Painting Adventures. Using cambric cloth, a cousin to wall paper, allows for wall sized paintings to be made in the studio and then installed indoors, on location. The cambric cloth is light, durable and does not need to be stretched. Using cambric cloth makes the project more convenient for me and more economical for the client. It can be fixed to a wall with staples, easily removed, or it can be applied with wallpaper adhesive. I can help with the installation.
So please enjoy the artwork and feel free to contact me.
